Seasonal Buying Tips

Appliance prices and model line-ups follow a yearly rhythm. Knowing it helps you plan a purchase.

Spring

New air conditioner and grill models arrive. It is a good time to choose a grill before the summer season.

Summer

Choosing the right air conditioner depends on room size: around 5,000-6,000 BTU for a small bedroom, 8,000-10,000 BTU for a living room and 12,000 BTU or more for large open spaces.

Autumn

Many manufacturers introduce new refrigerator, range and dishwasher models, so outgoing models are often discounted.

Winter

Holiday promotions usually cover kitchen packages, laundry pairs and televisions.
